Suddenly, the lights of the lift began to flicker and shake. What happened? I stared at the flickering light totally bewildered. Not long later, the elevator jerked to a halt and the whole lift was plunged into darkness. Realisation hit me like a twenty-pound sledge hammer. The lift had stopped working!
Suddenly, the ground in my house began vibrating.I was thrown out of my chair and landed on the ground with a THUMP.Bellow of fear surged through me as huge debris began tumbling down.I dive under my table in a nick of time, only to find out that the debris had blocked all sides of the table.Realization hit me like a twenty pound sledgehammer. I was trapped.
