Mom's arm came out and flattened against Lily's chest. The van swerved sharply, and suddenly felt as if it were out of control. Lily looked up just in time to see a pair of taillights in front of them disappear as the car spun around. Headlights glared in their faces.
"Mom!" Lily screamed.
She squeezed her eyes shut, and for some reason she could never figure ot, clutched the pizza boxes against her. She felt the van lurch to a stop, and she waited for the crash that was surely going t kill them both. But all she heard was her mother's gasp.
"Oh, dear Lord!"
Lily opened her eyes again. The other car had spun around once more and was sailing across the road, straight towards a pickup truch coming from the other direction. As Lilt and her mother watched, the two vehicles slammed together and crumpled. Metal smashed. Glass broke, and then it was as quiet as the snow itself.
Although this is not a scene of an accident, it depicts a scence of destruction, whereby a car is being destroyed at the incinerator. (did I spell correctly?)
In the distance, a crane coughed into life, then roared down on a battered Ford Mondeo, its metal claw smashing through the window to scoop up the vehicle and carried it away.
The gawky bus swerved to the right and hit a palm tree straight on. The palm tree tore back through the engine and cab. It's tree trunk continued five feet down the aisle, crushing people in the front seats. Gaping holes began to mottle the side of the bus.
For the next ten minutes there were shouts and stomach-freezing screams from the forty-odd people trapped in the bus.
This is the resultsa of a person being rammed by a car. However, i am not sure whether it should be classified here.
-Garrett was lying in a pool of blood that was widening around his head. His arms and legs were splayed out, so that he looked as if he were trying to swim across the tarmac of the road. He wasn't moving, not even to breathe. The computer, which he had been carrying was damaged beyond repair. Glass from the monitor was all over the road. The casing around the hard drive had slip open and there were valves and wires everywhere--electronic spaghetti. (The splayed arms and legs is a bit disgusting)
-The scar had wasted his flesh, pulling one side of his lip back to expose a row of heavy, yellowish teeth. He was also dirty and smelled. The sour smell of old, dmap earth. Nick wanted to stare at him, but he forced himself to look away.
Pat came to a busy road, where the hooting of the vehicle sound above the hubbub.Without hesitation, he dashed across the road. Out of the blue, a bus came rumbling towards him. His heart began throbbing wildly and his legs became wobbling. He closed his eyes, preparing for the worse......
"Mary, look out!" he yells. Brad and Belinda, now mounting their front steps, wheel around. At the same mpment, the van's high, blunt front end crashesinto the rear of the Lumina, splintering the tailights, snapping the bumper and crimping the truck. The Lumina's tyres screamed and the car veers left. It's front end bounces up over the curb.Mary's head snapped back and then forward, like the head of a flower on a long stalk being pushed back and forth by a high wind.
Puddles of water were everywhere, making the road slippery and dangerous. The driver tried to swerve to the right but waas too late. The two cars collided with a deafening crash.
In the helicopter, Dr.Grief just had time to see five hundred pounds of saloid steel come hurtling toward him out of the night, its headlights blazing, its engine still screaming. His eyes. bright red, opened wide in shock. the makeshift torpedo hit its target full-on. Point-blank. the explosion lit up the entire mountain. the helicopter disappeared in a huge fireball. then plunged down. it was still burning when it hit the ground.
And then, seconds before the wheels left the ground, the plane suddenly lurched. the whole world twisted sideways as a giant invisible hand seized hold of it and wrenched it sideways. The Cessna had been travelling at 120 miles per hour. it came to a grinding halt in a matter of seconds, the deceleration throwing all three men forward in their seats. if they hadn't been belted in, they would have bben hurled out the front window - or what was left of the shattered glass. at the same time, there was a series of ear-shattering crashes as something whipped into the fuselage. one of the wings had dipped down and the propeller was torn off spinning into the night. suddenly the plane was still, resting, tilted, on one side.
As I twirled round in the pool, trying to twist the leaf out of her hand, I heard a terrible crack. I came out of the water and screamed at the top of my voice.
